WANT TO HIRE A DATA SCIENCE PROFESSIONAL?

Meet the candidates of the Microsoft Azure Academy for Data Science

Just like Techionista, Microsoft believes in gender diversity and is committed to  gain more women in ICT. That’s why we’ve joined forces and we will start the third edition of the Microsoft Azure Academy for Data Science, powered by Techionista on the 2th of September 2019. And just like during the previous edition the Johan Cruyff ArenA lets us use their fabulous location for free.

During this intensive, sixteen-week education program our candidates will be trained by experienced teachers to become data scientists. Maybe they’ll become consultants, data science professionals, or data analists. After this training they’ll have the Microsoft Professional Program for Data Science Certificate in the pocket and their first practical experience, thanks to an extensive business case.

1. The selection

It’s gonna be pretty tough to keep up with the pace of this education program. And that makes sense: in a mere 16 weeks our candidates become data professionals. That’s why this program isn’t suitable for everyone. Some prior knowledge of analytics and programming is really a plus. The women we selected, decided to give their career a boost. They often already have had an impressive career, but now want to pursue a career in data science. Some of them have already learned programming on their own with languages such as Python, or have already done some data analysis within their current job. Now they want to make the next step by officially starting as a data scientist. Our candidates speak Dutch or English fluently. Of course you can get in touch with them during one of the two job fairs.

2. The Program

During this intensive, sixteen-week education program our candidates will be trained by experienced teachers to become data scientists. For example, they learn to analyze and visualize data with PowerBI and work with Python and T-SQL. They immerse themselves in the mathematical basis for machine learning and artificial intelligence. And of course they are also taught in ethics and law in the field of data. After completing a business case and a final project, they go for the final exam that should result in obtaining the Microsoft Professional Program for Data Science Certificate.

In addition, they complete an extensive soft skills program that makes them more skilled in giving presentations, time management, personal leadership and networking.

3. Meet our candidates

During the training we organize two job fairs. As a potential employer you can then become acquainted exclusively with our candidates during a speed date. In this way you get to speak as many candidates as possible in a casual setting in one evening. Do you have a match? Then we can plan a second, more extensive job interview for you. The first job fair takes place on the 17th of May from 13:30 to 16:30 in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. Want to join us? You can sign up right now!
